Meet the Founder: Dr. Ariel D. Smith

Dr. Ariel D. Smith is the founder and chief strategist of Ari Demi Enterprises and the creator of Idea Therapy™. She is a scholar-practitioner, ordained minister, and seasoned entrepreneur with over a decade of experience at the intersection of education, entrepreneurship, cultural strategy, and community innovation.

Dr. Smith launched her first business over ten years ago and has since built a career that bridges research, real-world experience, and spiritual grounding. She has founded ventures, taught entrepreneurship at the collegiate level, and conducted research on Black entrepreneurs across the United States. Her work is rooted in the belief that strategic clarity can transform not only a business, but the person behind it.

That research is also where Sacred Entrepreneurial Ecology™ (SEE) came from. It’s the framework she built in direct response to a pattern she kept seeing: entrepreneurship education celebrates ventures while ignoring the health and wellness costs to the founders producing them. SEE, the SEE Index™, and Idea Therapy™ are three different expressions of that same underlying belief.
